Looking for free camping near payson. We found three areas near Payson AZ that are accessible with RV's, cars and trucks. Things to do in the area include hiking, fishing, mountain biking, hunting and more. These areas are close to the Highline trail, Arizona trail, a cave (see episode 6), Tonto Natural Bridge, Payson, and Pine.
We explored an awesome little cave at Preacher Canyon just outside of Payson AZ and reviewed Yumbutter's Cashew butter. Watch the full video for our thoughts on the Cashew butter. To get to the cave make sure you bring a GPS because there are no signs to the cave. We used an iphone with the Gaia GPS app for this trip. There are other websites that claim they have the coordinates but we couldn't get them to work. We used the link below. Bring gloves, flashlights and probably a jacket for the cave.
We enjoyed an easy backpacking trip starting from the Pine Trailhead in Pine AZ and hiked along the Highline trail which is also part of the Arizona Trail. For dinner, we reviewed Good to Go Pad Tai and here are our thoughts.
We hiked Woodchute Mtn between Prescott and Jerome AZ and reviewed Trailtopia's Beer Braised Chicken Stew and Gluten-Free Peach Blueberry Crisp Dessert.
